A ~$1 billion upgrade of the North Coast Line north of Caboolture — realigning track, removing level crossings and expanding park 'n' ride at Beerburrum, Landsborough and Nambour. Main works began in 2025, targeting completion in 2027.
A planned ~60km motorway corridor from Beerburrum to Kallangur running west of the Bruce Highway, jointly funded for planning by the Australian and Queensland governments. Stage 1 is identified through the Caboolture West growth area.
One of South-East Queensland's largest greenfield growth areas, at around 3,156 hectares. It is planned for roughly 30,000 new homes and 70,000 residents with about 17,000 jobs over the long term. The Waraba Priority Development Area was declared in August 2024, and the Interim Structure Plan fast-tracks assessment of 13,000 homes over 15 years.
